When I first joined Tonality, my intentions were to make music with like-minded individuals from different walks of life. Since joining, I have also discovered the importance of amplifying other voices and other stories that need to be shared.
The world needs empathy now more than ever. By sharing stories of hurt, loss, acceptance, and sometimes tragedy, Tonality is able to shine a light on these individuals and share a call to action. If we are able to see the world through a different perspective, we can make a positive and lasting change.
I will never forget singing the lyrics “Take a moment, take a breath, take time, take care” around the audience as members of the Trans community shared their story with everybody. It reminded me that we are all human and that we all need to take care of each other.
