Why did you join Tonality?

I joined Tonality so that I could widen my perspective and become a more helpful, aware and proactive member of society. Tonality doesn’t make music for themselves, Tonality makes music for others and fully gives to their audiences and community. I want to be a part of the change and impact that Tonality has made and will continue to make in the future!

Why do you feel a group like this is important?

Tonality makes music accessible to everyone, no matter who you are. Tonality uses the power of music to bring awareness and change to people and populations who need to be spotlighted and supported. We need groups like Tonality so that we as a society can bring people together to all experience and try to empathize with one another.

What is a particular moment you remember from singing in a Tonality concert?

During “America Will Be,” I remember looking over at the ASL interpreters signing every single song with such passion and emphasis on every word. Looking up I saw a group of people who were part of the ASL community, and I felt so moved that they could experience the music with us. The ability to bring ALL people together through music was truly shown. Everyone belongs, “We Belong.”
