Why did you join Tonality?

To make music with a real purpose alongside likeminded and open hearted individuals. To use our voices to tell the stories that aren’t heard, or are overlooked or are perpetually silenced. To create a world where music from all genres and creators is accessible and available to ALL.

Why do you feel a group like this is important?

There is no group I know of that is as dedicated to diversity and accessibility like this ensemble. This group tells the world and all its various, beautiful citizens, that their voices matter and that there is a place for all.

What is a particular moment you remember from singing in a Tonality concert?

There are too many to list. Whether it’s watching an entire community of various backgrounds, genders, ages, experiences all come together to sing in unison as one. Or watching our incredible translators use their bodies in sign language to communicate with EVERY person in the audience, creating unique and personal experiences. Or the openheartedness of our members sharing the strengths and challenges that life has thrown and how resilient the power of love and music is. I just don’t know!! There are too many moments that MATTER.
