I joined Tonality because it is a family rooted not only in high quality musicianship, but also collaboration, empathy, and passionate activism. I have met so many incredible people in this group that have mentored and pushed me to advance my career as a recent-grad with no generational-musical background and little support from my family. I enjoy being surrounded by musicians that inspire me and have fostered wholesome friendships here. Tonality has made me a better musician and a better human.
A group like Tonality is important because we are sharing our light with the world in an age that desperately needs our voices to make positive change. We are able to facilitate critical & uncomfortable conversations by leading with humanity and connection. The way I have witnessed our impact on our audiences and collaborators is breathtaking, and Tonality should continue innovating this industry for as long as we are able.
One moment I will always remember from singing in a Tonality concert is singing background vocals for Tiesto for a sold out show at LA State Historic Park. That's probably the biggest crowd I've ever sang to. He wore a bedazzled, gucci denim jacket; it was gorgeous. And I'm also a big fan of EDM shows so it was very cool to be on the other side. I got to enjoy the rest of the night dancing with my friends at an iconic venue.
